Truewool® is made from 100% British sheep’s wool. There are no synthetic binders or polyester fibres – just natural, renewable wool sourced from Welsh and UK farms.

Wool insulation is soft to handle, non-itchy, and safe to install without gloves or masks. It regulates moisture naturally, helping prevent condensation and mould. It’s also carbon-storing and fully compostable at end of life.

Wool fibres absorb and release moisture without losing their thermal performance. This keeps lofts and walls dry and prevents the build-up of condensation common with non-breathable insulation.

Yes. TrueWool® contains noVOCs. It’s naturally hypoallergenic and helps purify indoor air by absorbing airborne pollutants such as formaldehyde.

All manufacturing takes place in the UK, using ONLY British wool. By choosing Truewool®, you’re supporting UK farmers and reducing the carbon footprint associated with imported materials.

For most UK lofts, a total depth of 250–300 mm gives excellent energy performance. Truewool® is supplied in 50 and 75 mm rolls that can be layered to achieve your desired depth.

Yes absolutely. Providing the existing insulation is in good condition you can install Truewool® over the top.

Wool insulation lasts the lifetime of the building. It doesn’t slump or lose performance over time when installed correctly.

Yes. Because it’s breathable and hygroscopic, Truewool® is ideal for solid-wall, timber-frame, or heritage buildings where moisture control is essential.

Yes. It’s 100% natural wool, so it can be recycled, reused, or composted at the end of its life – nothing goes to landfill.
